I saw a post saying he was type cast by Hollywood and is bitter about that. They told him something like you'll always be that guy and nothing more, nothing less. Now he's got them by the balls(owns the ranch they need for his shows). He had me at 3 fries.

Hes embarrassing himself, albeit all the way to the bank.

Its all just hilarious to me.

Really, he's successful because everything else these days is so terrible. He's had some good shit.
He should stay behind the camera instead of trying to will the myth of self He's fabricated into existence.

When he was relatively unknown he wrote some exceptional stuff.

He's building this thing where "nobody can play this character but me, because I lived it"

He probably was an OGer at some point, lots of unemployed actors and writers were. We never closed, until we did.. his humor is definitely dark OG.

We definitely saw some straight from the OG to screen shit over the years.

Plus- every fight scene he writes goes directly to ground, lol

I think it'd be better if he focused on one project at a time. I bet he can still make a helluva movie and I agree he should just write/direct. He's got 3 or 4 shows active at the same time.

You guys watching Jack Ryan can stop after S1 - it gets worse every season.

The season (S3 I think?) about Venezuela being led astray by corrupt far *right* leadership was hilarious.

S1 was outstanding, but the rest is very meh.

I *do* have a bit of a thing for the arab wife in the show, though.

I’ve never watched any of this. Is it like the movie where he’s young Jack, CIA super spy? If so, no interest, as it’s a total departure from Clancy’s version of the character.
