I've never been more happy with a last second decision to drive 2 hours and try to attend a football game I didn't have tickets to.

Yep. There’s levels to this game. This weekend showed that 12 teams is too many. Eight is the right number.

I have always said eight. Conference winners get an automatic bid. It makes the conference championships meaningful and regular season more meaningful.

I think all those games have the potential to be competitive.
Potential, sure
But Penn State is already at 75% to beat Boise St, the line I saw was -9.5

Texas is -13.5 over Arizona St

On the other hand the other two a basically pick 'em games. I saw tOSU by -1.5 and UGA by the same

I feel bad for Oregon, shit draw, the undefeated #1 team get Ohio St, I think Ohio St beats them
They have to change how they do the seeding.
Two of the top four teams are two score underdogs. Penn State gets Boise while Oregon gets Ohio St and UGA gets Notre Dame.

The top 4 conference champs getting the top 4 seeds really screwed up seeding. And in general I think this year's committee did the worst job since the playoffs started. The top criteria listed is strength of schedule but the chairman said they're ignoring that this season. Then he said teams won't be reevaluated after CG weekend if they didn't play, which is dumb and ignores SoS again.

yeah, it was obviously fucked up this year, and the 1st rd showed that

I don't think CG's should count towards anything. It's already a post season game and you shouldn't be punished for losing one or by not winning one in a convincing enough fashion.

I also think they should reseed after the first round so teams aren't penalized for being good during the regular season. In theory, if you're the best you'll win, but if you're going to have seeding you should be giving the top teams a reward, not a punishment.

Let's all be serious here. No way in hell they go backwards. 16 is the answer with no byes and no auto bids.

Fuck the conference championship games. Take a break that week and start it up right after. Most of these kids aren't "students" so who cares about finals blah blah.

Seed in order 1 through 16 and maybe add in a computer element to it. The committee needs help bc they damn sure ain't watching all the games.

And let's settle this ON THE FIELD. Blowouts will happen. Better than watching a stupid bowl game for some toilet bowl trophy.

I'm not opposed to any of this, but reseeding needs to happen.

Yes at the very least they can reseed next year while it's still 12 but 16 is the future answer with no byes.

The fact that a Penn State homer is in here gloating and talking shit about anything is damn near criminal. The draw they got is straight up bull shit. Texass getting to play Arizona St is bull shit. The byes are stupid bc as of now there's no power 4 there are 2 power conferences.

They've been talking reseeding the NCAA tournament for years. It'll never happen. Best we can hope for is getting rid of auto bids and top 4 conference champs bs.
I'm assuming he's talking about 12. 16 you don't need to reseed anything. If they are going to keep it at 12 they have to reseed. It makes zero sense right now.

I like the idea of 16. I dont yesterday is a true reflection of how exciting and competitive the College Football Playoff will be in the future.
