Imo, any way you slice it, this guy has no business being in a leadership position within our government. In a perfect world these people should be the best of us. Gaetz is not the best of us. He also has always come across as an asshole to me with his asshole looking face and the way he talks like an asshole.

There were reports a month ago that the 17yo was pretty much a set up by the same guy that tried to blackmail the father. Tried to look for it but its completely buried in the algorithms by today's news cycle.
I think I posted that on the Gaetz thread or the trump official picks thread, I'll have to look for it.

Is there any word on whether or not Florida is going to charge him? Can the feds even do anything regarding ethics violations while in federal office given he is no longer there?

Whether or not this is a slam dunk as a child predator case seems questionable to me given the victim stated she didn't tell him and he didn't ask. Also, someone posted in this thread there were rumors she was setting him up due to something he was doing with her father (I assume that was non-sexual). Then again, I'm no expert on child predator laws, and am sure FL is different than say, Arkansas etc. It is still creepy though. Honestly, I liked some of what he did in Congress.
