That was nothing, semis can really go deep because the air intake is near the top of the hood. Stupid as shit, though. I don't know what it is about flood waters that makes people want to drive through it when they can't see if the road is washed out, manhole covers are removed, logs or other debris is laying on the road, etc..

Had the exact same reaction. We got flooded out during Ida, and I watched not one, not two, but three morons flood their engines on our street corner where it was around 4 feet deep.

First one was dumb, but predictable. There's always that one. But I can't comprehend the kind of optimism the other two had to think they would make it, seeing how well it went for the other vehicles.

My guess is the recording cut off because the engine and electrical all died at the same time.
Nah. They cut it there because that's the point the water level goes down and he clears the water like 30 seconds later. There is the full clip in the comments.
