I'm sure we've all seen the company "honey" advertised all over youtube and by a bunch of the top influencers - they're a coupon code company that when you installed their browser extension, would supposedly find the customer the best deals.

Turns out they're a hugely fraudulent company, stealing affiliate commissions from their advertisers, actively blocking valid coupons from customers, I'm sure collecting data, and a ton more. This is some pretty crazy shit.

Oh, and they're owned by Paypal.

This is the 1st part of 3 (I think) that's due to come out and *well* worth a watch.

There are quite a few videos on the honey scam on youtube now, but the one I posted is the original that broke the story.

Scumbags, wonder if anything will be done. Personally I don't understand why people use that crap.

Yeah MegaLag is a top notch channel, I'm subscribed.

Hes videos exposing the fuckery of those glasses that supposedly allow colour blind people to see true colour are well worth a watch too.

Every claim mentioned is probably legal.
Claim by who? Honey?

Watch the video - they provably were hiding discounts from customers. That was actually one of their biggest scams - they get customers on board via telling them they'll find them the biggest discounts while simultaneously get retailers on board by telling them they can limit the coupons customers are given.

That's just one of the highly fraudulent things they were doing.

No kidding? I'd never heard of his channel until this video kept popping up on my feed.

I subbed to catch parts 2 & 3 of the honey expose, but sounds like I should check out his other stuff, too.

He went really in-depth with the colour blind glasses scam, explaining the different kinds of colour blindness, debunking the claims of the various manufacturers, and interviewing medical professionals. Very well researched and presented.

I got a newsletter email today from a fairly well-known guy in the email marketing space talking about things he thought were coming in 2025. He was discussing how he thinks, among other things, there'll be a huge downturn with "influencers", the "creator economy", "social media girl bosses" (<==you cannot fathom how much I can't stand these insufferable twats), & more.

One thing he said, which fits in this dicussion very well:

"But two things that are obvious are:

* Everyone's a celebrity, but nobody's got talent

* Hardly anyone is producing anything — from what I can see it's mostly just a lot of clicks, algorithms, and ticket taking (i.e., talentless hacks propped up by big tech, big government, big studios, big publishing, big media, big corporate money laundering schemes, etc)"

Social media gave scumbags & scammers platforms to do criminal shit, while labeling them 'influencers'.
Yup.

Then they ban people like me. Actual small business owning craftsmen.

Yet they allow companies run by shitbag violent felons that use the hashtag #intimidateallwitnesses and PROMOTE said companies.

Look up who owns YouTube and it will help explain everything.

Good rule of thumb: any business entity requiring you to install a browser extension to use their service should raise red flags. There's a reason they want the elevated privs that you can get with an extension. Unless there's a solid technical reason for it, it's likely a scam outfit.

Then again, the sort of people that would use this are the same that would have installed Bonzi Buddy back in the day without a second thought.

If that's fraudulent thats a bit of an overreach.

It seems like almost every one of these "products" that are suddenly advertised on every podcast end up being scams lol.

Remember the one where you could buy a portion of a plot of land to become a lord or lady or some shti like that? That turned out to be a huge scam.

I see a LOT of comments talking shit about Better Help (which is making the sponsorship rounds, too). Not sure why or if it will turn out to be a scam, as well.

I'm about halfway through his second EnChroma video. Holy shit...this is wild just how rampant & blatantly faked it all was.

And lol @ Logan Paul admitting he faked his reaction video.

So what else is new with that lying, scamming, all around piece of shit slimeball?

God yes, watching him laugh and joke about how he faked his reaction was infuriating.

"OK so many people ended up wasting their money on these useless shitty coloured glasses because I faked the reaction, but at least I got paid eh?"

Don't forget that this is the same guy that's scammed his own followers out of millions of dollars on a bullshit crypto, then sued the guy that broke the story, showing the world what a slimeball he is.

Then there's his Prime dirnk getting sued for copyright infringement / false claims.

There's also another crypto scam he (and I believe other big names like Mr. Beast) are a part of...or at the very least, have pump & dumped.

And that's just the illegal shit he's done. Don't forget the dirtbag shit he's done like suicide forest in Japan video he did back in the day.

Everything about the dude sucks.
