I've been contemplating purchasing a "dumb" phone. Or going back to a flip phone temporarily. Where I only get text messages and phone calls. I have been too addicted to my phone, always on it, always checking it, etc.. I sort of wanted to take a step back.

Just curious if anyone has done anything similar recently

I've considered it many times. Do you really wanna go back to reading the back of shampoo bottles to entertain yourself while you poop?

so I was thinking of two different things. One having my phone number switched over to a flip phone and keeping my regular smart phone for a podcast that I can download, but not having any Internet access will keep me completely off the web/social media, etc.. thru out the day

or just switching over for a certain amount of time and see how I like it. I can always switch back to a smart phone if it's that bad.

Camera and email accessibility is the only thing that is keeping me from doing it. I don't play games, browse the web, etc on it.

I only use my iPhone 23 hours a day so I don’t need a break
