I've been asking this. Why isn't it already a backup system that can be put online in an emergency? The cost of its extra corrosivness on equipment seems like a drop in the bucket cost wise to having massive parts of the city burn down.

that is going to be a huge issue, haven't been seeing much discussion about that but all that soil is hydrophobic now
