Says the Chicano that every recommendation involves trannies or male butt sex.Or you can blur it. Regardless, I think your reviews are a refreshing skew from @kvr28 Fag O Meter(tm).
Post your gripes and blur it - I'd like to hear it.Yellowstone Im tapping out on.
Silo. Really slow season.
Landman. Started off really strong but like Yellowstone it was ultimately just pointless. After watching some of Yellowstone, 1883, and now all of Landman, the stories are all really weak in each of them. Landman without Billy Bob is an unwatchable show.
Also that Landman finale, I have some issues with it I want to gripe about openly but I think we need to let some time pass. I dont think I would watch a season 2 of that show.
Biggest issue I have is the whole chicana/cooper relationship angle, get the fuck out of here. Then him just going and getting all these leases because he has a wry grin and worn boots? And then them just throwing Monty to the side, incapacitated means long term care in a nursing home not waiting for 4 weeks to see if there is a heart transplant. Then the boss coming in and killing everyone because he wants to get back to the way things were and learn the oil business side. Drugs will never go away.
But still enjoyed it.
Dale is awesome, the whole fucking with the boyfriend was perfect. Agree ending just seemed rushed same as Tulsa KingI also liked Dale. Dale would be a fun dude to hang out with. hahaha
Yeah, I get all that. But at the same time, I can deal with it in the context of the setting, too.
Cooper is a simp, of course he's gonna try to get with that hot piece of ass, and she's grieving like a mofo. I'm actually surprised there aren't the usual suspects complaining online calling him a predator. Though maybe there are. lmao
re the Monty thing - they've always presented it as if he owns the company, but realistically, a company like that is publicly traded. If their CEO (or whatever Monty was) goes down with his 4th heart attack, they're putting someone else in charge ASAP if for no other reason than the stock price doesn't plummet and / or anyone they're in a deal with doesn't try to bail based on some obscure legal precdent.
Andy Garcia coming in & cleaning house was kinda funny. I actually thought spec ops was gonna bust in - not the cartel. Silly finish, but after watching Tulsa King have two seasons building up to MASSIVE showdowns that were over so fast that you'd think they were written by Pitch Meeting ("super easy, barely an inconvenience"), I just let it slide. lmao
Also enjoyed the hell out of it and definitely looking forward to S2. Hope Sheridan keeps Billy Bob's character just as he is.

I don't know about that, but I hear he *did* fast-forward through the Mexican strippers showing nipple at the bar.2 things about Landman:
Juan. Homegirl has never had a kid. Dios MIO that cuerpazo.
2. How many times did @kvr28 pause the male striptease scene?!
They were disgusting, the old folks got a better show minus the boyfriendI don't know about that, but I hear he *did* fast-forward through the Mexican strippers showing nipple at the bar.
Pretty much this. Plot lines that did nothing and went nowhere. Then the last episode characters acting out of character. I did enjoy the Billy Bob monologues, but his final one in the last episode was laughable given who he was saying it too.Biggest issue I have is the whole chicana/cooper relationship angle, get the fuck out of here. I didnt even realise that was Demi until like ep 8! I skip the credits in teh front and end.Hamm and Moore were criminally underused.
I'll have to check the opening credits again but I know for sure Demi said special guest or guest starring, not sure about Hamm. That tells me she ain't going to be around long. The old attorney Nathan was awesome. My wife was like where have I seen him before. I told her he was the father in Umbrella Academy. Blew her mind.Hamm and Moore were criminally underused. Who even gives a fuck about Monty by the end of the season. The two other guys in the house were also funny as hell and got about 45 seconds of screen time per episode.
That did bother me as well but then I realized every teen movie I grew up with had teenager sex in it.All the sexualization of his daufghter who is supposed to be 17 kinda eerks me (especially as a girl dad)
yeah thats true. But now that I have a daughter Im like WTF? Plus Im old. That did bother me as well but then I realized every teen movie I grew up with had teenager sex in it.
It gets progressively worse until the last season which ended awesome.Wife and I finished up season 1 of Stranger Things last night, not bad
I do appreciate his brutal honesty on the the behavior of mexican males. Especially, ex felons. Too much Cypress Hill not enough Tigres del Norte. And he is correct, there is only juan answer when a mexican lady asks you if you're hungry.Pretty much this. Plot lines that did nothing and went nowhere. Then the last episode characters acting out of character. I did enjoy the Billy Bob monologues, but his final one in the last episode was laughable given who he was saying it too.
Hamm and Moore were criminally underused. Who even gives a fuck about Monty by the end of the season. The two other guys in the house were also funny as hell and got about 45 seconds of screen time per episode. His wife and daughter had way too much screen time. I gave zero fucks about his son, none. That whole exchange between him and the landowner was corny as fuck.
Sheridan has mastered his own variant upon the formula of "the way it used to be", which gets men to watch it. Then there is always some tough broad who has some tenuous sexual relationship with another character, which makes women watch it. There is juuuuust enough racial undertone (or in the case of Yellowstone, overtone) to pass the smell test for the woke mob.
I think I only ever watched the first season of Stranger Things. Maybe the second? I loved the first one, though.
I finished up the second season of Squid Game. Not sure what I think of it. Why didn't they just go ahead and out the man-bun dude as being a fake & having never been in the Marines? Oh, and the boat captain being a bad guy seemed pretty obvious, but not a bad "twist". The frontman / cop's brother guy turned out to be quite the sociopath.
What's the SAS show you guys were talking about?
