My boys hospital stay made yours seem small (money wise) but like you my insurance was crazy good. We were very fortunate. Straight cripples people financially. Sucks.

The first 20ish days the bill was over 500k. I stopped looking after that. He was in there for 7 months total. I believe we paid around 5k out of pocket. Very fortunate.
How was the heli ride? You remember it?
What happens if someone in that position just doesn't pay it? Hospitals and doctor claims can no longer go against someone's credit report. I guess I'd take my chances on them suing me, if I couldn't afford to pay it.
Only good part lol. And the only time they gave me good drugs. 30 minutes on I think fentanyl while watching fireworks in the distance
Honestly you can pay them like 25 a month and they'll leave you alone I've heard. I hate being in debt but the prices can get straight up out of hand for the average person
You do have the ability to negotiate with them. From what I understand no one does it, but they're rather get back a fraction of what you owe than nothing at all.
We got a bill last summer for like $1800 for what I felt the insurance should have covered. I called the insurance company a couple of times and they told me they paid the 80% of whatever the fuck it was. This was for labs. So I just decided not to pay the bill. Collections started calling...straight to voicemail. Ignored. That went on for a couple months. Finally they just stopped calling and bills stopped showing up, so I guess they wrote it off. Fuck em.

Saban will go to his grave claiming Alabama and the SEC didn't pay players, and it was his unprecedented coaching abilities that led Bama to their success. I guess after going 34-24-1 at Michigan State, he had some sort of out-of-body experience that molded him into a coaching savant. Who the fuck is he kidding?

Everyone paid but some did it better than others. "Blueblood schools" (whatever tf that means) got away with it for years. Other schools were not as fortunate. Saban was a master at it. His roster all drove hellcats and he owned a dodge dealership or two lmao.

I dont disagree. But UGA, Bama, LSU, Ohio St, Texas, USC, ND, etc were doing it on a whole other level...in my opinion.
Believe it or not boosters had to go behind Mark Richts back to pay players at UGA. Bama was the most successful at paying players because they did the best job at organizing their boosters like they were running a business. Most schools were extremely unorganized and sloppy about it.
