I just checked price in some of my local shops and am not surprised that the demand is so low. The prices are fucking retardedly high. Almost 9k for a 125? Get fucked.

Their marketing is pretty bad as a person who used to ride motocross bikes in the mountains. When ever I went out to buy a bike Kawasaki,honda or Yamaha was the most visible brand KTM was maybe my 4th considered brand and a distant 4th too.

My first Rm250 cost 2k back in 88
If I remember correctly KTM made a better 4stroke than a 2stroke
Everything today is way overpriced

I got a drz400sm for like $7k (overpriced imo)
But a 350 or 500 exc-f $12k and that before sumo conversion

That bike scared the fck out of me
The exhaust valve and pipe made those things hit like a rocket
On the trails I had no problem keeping up with a CR500 open sand pits not so much
Big yellow beast

I had Boyesen RAD valve and Power Reeds and Fmf gold series fatty pipe and powercore silencer

I had the fmf reeds/valve/pipe combination w/spark arrest (started a few brush fires spitting carbon lol)

Not as popular as Big 4 but I seen them around plenty.

The first motorcycle I had was a DR125, I got it when I was 14 because in Tennessee you could get a motorcycle license for it and drive it on the roads within like 10 miles of your house. I think it was around 3k back then in the 90's.

I had 4-wheelers starting at 8.

Growing up at the end of my street was woods with trails. People used to come from all over the place to ride. Was always bikes, quads, three wheelers etc riding up and down road.
at some point it got popular with people in jeeps and shit and the trails got rutted out bad
