idk man, scheme/coaching/surrounding cast aside i didn't really see anything about caleb williams that inspires confidence. Though I suppose ben johnson can hide his faults as well as he hid them for goff (for as long as he did). Bears def. have a good defense, gonna need to shore up that offensive line though, it's atrocious.
Didn't Williams set a rookie QB record for consecutive passes without an interception at one point? I'll have to Google that, not 100% sure. He seemed to do somewhat better in the second half of the season from what I saw (which was admittedly limited), that's at least a promising sign from a rookie.

EDIT: Yep, I remembered correctly about the interception stat.

Bears are missing a lot. Next to no pass pressure, no discipline on defense. Non-existent o-line. Quarterback says he wants to be the Dennis Rodman of the NFL and paints his nails like a fruitloop. Obviously abysmal coaching all season but our bone head GM didn't even bother talking to Harbaugh when he was avaliable last off season and stuck with an awful coach(that bears fans knew was awful prior to this season). DJ Moore looked uninterested in running his routes all season.

Caleb has had 3 offensive coordinators in ONE season. I don't know if he's going to end up being a good quarterback or not, but the Bears organization aren't exactly doing him any favors.

That was a massive missed opportunity. I saw reports that Harbaugh wanted a sort of 'homecoming' to chicago but they didn't even give him a chance. I bet those owners feel really stupid right about now.

idk how much cred i put into a stat like consecutive passes without an interception. QBs can just avoid risky throws, moving the ball downfield and have that. i remember at one point alex smith had the overall record for that, doesn't mean he was doing a good job, just that he was really scared to make a tough throw.

NFC
I don' t think we'll see Barkley repeat his performance from the regular season, but this is a tough matchup for the Rams. Assuming they focus on stopping the run, that leaves AJ Brown and DeVonta Smith in likely advantageous situations. Rams are an experience bunch and won't go lightly, but I think PHI takes this one.

Looks like some snow in the forecast. I think that helps PHI.

Prediction:
PHI 27
LAR 20

AFC
Cold weather game. Like really cold. Sub 20 degrees. I think that favors Baltimore's style and we'll see a bunch of King Henry and Lamar running around. Buffalo has a solid D, but those are two of the best in the league. Allen likely runs a bit in this one as well. Should be a slobber-knocker of a game. Winner should fucking destroy KC & the refs next week if everyone comes out healthy.

Prediction:
BAL 24
BUF 13
Nice breakdowns. I'll go...

PHI 23
LA 17

BAL 20
BUF 17

Both of these games should be awesome.

Serious question regarding the NFC North: Are the Chicago Bears a better team than their record would suggest, in terms of potential going forwards?

Taking into account the strength of the other three teams in the division, the fact that they had a rookie starting qb for the season, and the poor performance of the offensive coaching staff.

If they get a competent head coach and OC in place (lots of talk about the Lions' OC Ben Johnson getting the job), then surely they could be on the rise.
I think they have a lot to fix before being a playoff team. They need a stud WR, a RB who can get yards between the tackles, a much better OL, and some pieces on defense (their secondary is good). I think Williams will be fine but he needs a better supporting cast.

LOL
The chiefs looked beatable in almost every game this season. They actually got beat one time. They look beatable, and any given Sunday and all that, but they are the last team anyone should want to face. I mean, KC looked like shit today. They still won by two scores. It wasn’t even really dramatic at the end. No one watching this game thought the Texans had a shot in the fourth quarter.
The Chiefs don't play until it counts. Why does no one see that?

LOL at that play where Hurts slid and got hit. No flag. Nor shoukd there have been.

But if that was Mahomes they likely eject the defender.

Yeah... being the golden boy has its advantages.

Like how, since Mahomes started playing, KC is last in the league in playoff penalties and their opponents are #1 in penalties by a wide margin.

They don't even try to hide it anymore.
It's a joke.

It’s good that they go to commercials every 10 seconds
I love that
Right?
I watch RedZone during the regular season. Zero commercials.
The level of competition is awesome in the playoffs - but the commercials are brutal. Especially when half of them are Andy Reid and his puff quarterback from KC.

Possibly
Lots of players have never played in snow or slick field though so that is also common

Its also tough given the difference in playing surfaces.

Each stadium is going to be a bit different as to which cleats work best.
