Yeah, she interviewed him just sitting on the steps in front of the house and asked him what he remembered when it happened, he was 15 at the time and was very open and honest with her. I appreciate it dearly.

My mom was around 13ish I think. Allegedly she made a scrapbook, for years, with everything she could find about it. She was lil mrs smartypants, editor of her HS newspaper and class valedictorian, so it was probably impressive.
I never saw it but its existence was discussed throughout my childhood.
Some meth head probably got it..
