I think we might be reverting back to that prior rule. There’s not much a defense can do without leaving receivers uncovered.
It is really just another rule that 100% favors the offense
The defense gets nothing for running a ball carrier back 10 yards, offense gets a win win situation and they can just fly in and push the pile
