If it's up your alley, I've been watching this Canadian's channel for a while:
A lot of his videos are about creating dishes and cocktails from his historical cookbook collection, some going back to the 18th century. No antics or "personality", just solid cooking.

I have the recipe for “box”, which a former prisoner made me on my last night in rehab several years ago.
But I’m not giving that away for free. Most of you will end up in jail as I see it and I project that recipe as good money when you are called to be processed

Really cool concept for that site. Unfortunately when I did some searches, the books I clicked on only showed the first few pages, but then when it got to where the recipes were it showed nothing. Probably legal issues.

After my divorce it’s been tough cooking any recipes for one

I’d rather throw a steak/burgers or chicken on the grill with a half assed salad then take the time to make some elaborate recipe and have to deal with leftovers that eventually end up in the trash

Get a vacuum sealer
Its the single guys second best friend.
Just put extra stuff in the freezer, you'll have a nice assortment, still get good food, and don't have to cook as often.

Get a small crockpot for stews and roasts. Gotta change it up juance in awhile, champ.
