100 percent true story.

So when I was working for Wendy's international in 92 we were sent to a week long leadership council. One of the team building exercises was to write down a personal truth about ourselves and then we had to guess who the truth was about.

Someone had written down I had raced Carl Lewis in High School and beat him. No one could figure out who it was.

For those we couldn't figure out they would raise their hand and say what they did at the end of the session.

A 5'4" 220 butterball raised his hand at the table across from me and said he had beat Lewis.

Without thinking I blurted, did you roll down the hill after him? Everyone laughed, I would have been fired 100% in today's world and still feel shitty for saying it.

But I met a man who beat Carl Lewis in High School so I got that going for me.

I get it I was born in the early 60’s
When both of my kids were teenagers they both asked about my quick fire skill and impeccable timing of sarcasm
lol I told them it comes in time that someday they could acquire the skill if they paid close attention
My son has developed the skill, I watch and listen to him with his kids damn that boy makes me proud, my daughter not so much but she is getting better and hits one outta the park from time to time
If I’m in a room with them when they drop a bomb they look at me for my shit eating smirk of approval
