I’m in the area visiting family. One report on local news said it was a commuter jet and a Blackhawk that collided.

Jesus Christ - I’m travelling there on Monday - almost every time I fly, shit happens in the air (to others). I also fly there in 2 weeks, so we’ll see…….

I know there is a pilot here. Wonder what the scoop is?

Looks to fiery and violent for survivors if that ran into a helicopter sadly.

I bet the Blackhawk doesn't show up on radar so air traffic control didn't see it and I doubt there are any survivors!

It’s tragic. I hate flying in and out of DCA. I go there pretty often. To me, it looks like the helicopter fucked up. My cousin is and ATC guy and he agrees with me.

I agree, but that fucking airport is always swarming with helicopters. They should have closed that place down years ago. It’s just too close to the White House, US Capitol and the Pentagon.

Is that at an elevation of 1050 feet off the ground?

How the frick did they end up there, should be a known flight path I would think.

Perfect storm.
Jet veered to miss the CIA Blackhawk that was on a coded channel.
In this situation, could've been different veering than industry MO.
