I’m in the area visiting family. One report on local news said it was a commuter jet and a Blackhawk that collided.

I bet the Blackhawk doesn't show up on radar so air traffic control didn't see it and I doubt there are any survivors!

It’s tragic. I hate flying in and out of DCA. I go there pretty often. To me, it looks like the helicopter fucked up. My cousin is and ATC guy and he agrees with me.

I agree, but that fucking airport is always swarming with helicopters. They should have closed that place down years ago. It’s just too close to the White House, US Capitol and the Pentagon.

I was just talking about this on another forum yesterday where we track flights and what's going on.
I let them know my main concern was that I have seen a s*** ton of ospreys and C1 30s going dark and not broadcasting at night.
That was less than 24 hours ago.

I don't think planes should be that low inside of a city, that doesnt' make much sense
Is that at an elevation of 1050 feet off the ground?

How the frick did they end up there, should be a known flight path I would think.

Jet veered to miss the CIA Blackhawk that was on a coded channel.
In this situation, could've been different veering than industry MO.

Chances of DEI air traffic control is pretty high since this is DC/Virginia, imo.
