I've read lots of Thomas Sowell and other black conservatives and remain a fan. I definitely think things like single motherhood and an overall bankrupt culture, and a complicit media and policies contribute greatly to the disproportionate levels of violence, if we want to focus on that one area. There will always be exceptions to the rule, bell curve, and it's unreasonable to expect someone like Sowell to wade into the Nature part of the equation, but the total focus on Nurture doesn't quite explain things sufficiently

I'm class of 88. I remember all the way back in Jr high hearing sisters talking about wanting to get knocked up because "you get those checks and you can get your own apartment, and if you with a soldier he gon take care of you too when he can"

Hard to keep track since the media suppresses these and there are about 500 black on white murders a year and countless rapes and assaults. I'm still surprised I've never heard of this one.

Re, the KC story, I just checked. Still hasn't gone to trial, the mental health of the killer is still being debated. Of course it being a hate crime was never entered into the equation, once again showing that those laws have always been bullshit and politically motivated.
I've said this before earlier, but if your parents aren't in an area with the right demographics, do not ever put them in the senior care system there.
The communication from the school would have been far more sensational, dramatic, and strongly worded if someone found the Nword written in a bathroom stall.
