Before we get into brands and what not, my first question is finish.

I'm gonna need a new range, for example..

Thoughts on stainless vs enamel vs whatever?
How easy do they clean up/keep clean?

Stainless seems like a pain in the ass to keep clean & looking good, but I think it looks great in the right setting.
I don't know particulars about stoves but I don't think that would be a big issue. Just needs to be wiped down with a cloth regularly the same as you would with any stove. It shouldn't take to much elbow grease.
Not like polishing brass or something.

Shit quality stainless fridges can get spot rust and tarnish where water runs down the icemaker all the time. I don't think you'll have that issue with a stove.
I'd probably go stainless if it's in the budget.

I'd give you my old Kenmore if you were anywhere nearby. It'll never die but I can't do gas anymore. Someone always leaves the gas on and no juan listens to the youngest.

I'm not getting anything with an icemaker, no fucking smart appliances that hack into my setup either, lol.
Stove will have knobs not a screen.

It's going into a 900sf cabin style house. Rustic is on brand.
I'd go with a stainless bench then if you're getting a bench too. You can get em pretty cheep second hand. They cost a shit ton to get made new.
We got one for our shed a while back. Came out of an old RSL commercial kitchen or something.
Look at places that do demolition. They often keep these and sell them on for cash.

Gas is superior but I am convinced someone wants to gas me overnight. Plus, I always get blamed for it, either way. The grill is my kitchen now.

stainless bench
I love the idea but I'd lose half my cabinet space, just have stuff piled on the couple shelves. In such a small place maximizing storage is key and I'm already gonna tear out a section of cabinets to fit a fridge.
You're right though, getting them made would be a shit ton of money.

This is the way, Sir. You may want to check local auctions to snag commercial grade appliances and tables/counters. An older version of this Vulcan 6 burner range/griddle went for $91 last month at an auction near my parent's house.

I see similar lots in the auctions in my neck of the woods, too. I'm not sure what platforms most folks use in your area, but around here it's hibid and proxibid.

That thing is a beast! Wish I could fit that in the kitchen.

I'll be in the small zone of the catalog.
30" space I'm pretty sure. I still have to measure a bunch of shit.
Something like this, for example...
No idea about that one in particular, just that size. That's what will fit in the small kitchen.
