What did a 90 lb set cost you? I bought a set up to 70 many years ago and paid around $700 CAD.
Looks too bulky to me and thats quite expensive but if it works for you fine. Ive just got 10 20 and 35 lb dumbbell sets.
Yeah, it's not for everyone but for my floorspace it is perfect. They adjust from 10 to 90 pounds in 10 pound increments and take up under 2 square feet. I have an adjustable bench next to it with my dumbbell set underneath that in a corner of my bedroom.
Thats less space than my 6 dumbbells take probably. The tiny room I have my gym in is my third bedroom and its freakin jammed full. Doubt I could get any more in there. Got a movie room in another bedroom with 2 projectors and a 150 inch screen. My mortgage is less than I was paying for rent for a one bedroom box too......................in 2006.
I've never met anyone who tried power blocks who didn't like them. They feel great holding them and they're not really much bulkier compared to dumbbell of same Weight (they get smaller when you adjust to less weight). Very well balanced.
Agreed, they work well from my experience.
