This is the problem. It was a Mel Gibson tweet. The problem is Mel Gibson is not a scientist and does not know how to digest the information that is presented in a study so he thinks all of those studies showed vaccines cause Autism, which the studies don’t BUT also the studies are very weak. Here is a link to a MULTITUDE of studies that show no link to vaccines and Autism. Pay attention to the type of study and the N - number of test subjects which FAR OUTWEIGHS the number of study participants in your “studies.”
Although child vaccination rates remain high, some parental concern persists that vaccines might cause autism. Three specific hypotheses have been proposed: (1) the combination measles-mumps-rubella vaccine causes autism by damaging the intestinal ...

The other issue is that Autism is a neurodevelopmental disorder. Do you know what that is? That means the development of the nervous system (including the brain) does not develop correctly while the autistic child is still a fetus. You don’t develop autism at age 5, you get diagnosed with it because that is when they recognize it, the kid already had autism.
the other problem is there is no consistent hypothesis on why vaccines cause Autism. At first it was thimerosal. However, it was removed in vaccines in 2001 yet Autism rates continue to climb. Then it was the MMR vaccine specifically. However, cohort studies and other longitudinal studies have shown Autism is rising despite the MMR vaccine administration being relatively stable so that can’t be it either. Then, it is the amount of vaccines overload the immune system. Hmmm, that sounds the most legit but doesn’t hold up to scrutiny.
Your first study on how vaccines cause autism is majorly flawed. It talks about preterm infants. Being a premie increases your risk of Autism independently of any other factor.
The problem is that you don’t understand how vaccines work, what Autism truly is, and how the two can be linked. A correlation does not mean anything and it also shows you don’t understand statistical analysis. Organic farming has gone up astronomically in the last 20 years, at the same time Autism diagnoses has gone up astronomically. That’s a positive correlation, how come you are not on here claiming organic farming is the devil? Interesting….
