Anyone ever do a stainless backsplash?
I'm gonna have 9' of straight countertop, sink in the middle of the run.

I'm thinking maybe butcher block countertop with a stainless backsplash.
Would kinda set the tone.

I'm looking at the 36" set, slightly under 6 thousand. It's comparable price wise to what I've been seeing.
Why the fuck no?
OK, got my realtor guy to go take some measurements.
The stove (30"W), fridge (30"W), and dishwasher (24"W) that fit come in at $3 grand. Their only microwave option is built in so I'll just get a countertop model. Gotta punch a hole to get a real hood/exhaust going so that's a summer thing.

Copper would be badass. I wanted that when we redid our backsplash last year but it was out of our budget.
When we built the bar we did a copper top finish, basically did double layers of plywood then glued and nailed 24 inch copper flashing to the top. Copper finish nails so there was no reaction, then put bar top sealer on it. Held up for almost 15 years.

Beautiful
Thanks, dad and I built it, was bittersweet when I ripped it out after he passed and replaced it with a stained birch butcher block, that was pretty difficult. Dad drilled out every nail hole and gently tapped in the copper finish nails so they wouldn't bend. Took like 2 days.

Any thoughts on butcher block countertop and stainless backsplash?
We used the same butcher block at the cabin, I thought I had taken a picture of the backsplash we did but can't find it, we basically just ripped down a piece of butcher block and ran it through the planer. Stained it the same color. Looks pretty sweet. I'll get a picture next time I go out.
