You could argue he showed true martial arts spirit. He neutralized the threat and did no more than he needed to.

Either he's very level headed or was scared to hurt someone. Either is fine.

But, I’d like to point out that no gi is better to prepare you for this kind of altercation

I got attacked by a guy at work last year in one of our offices.

I don't get why you think BJ's don't work in the streets. A guy like Don Lemon can earn a respectable $200-300 if he's on his game and his technique is tight. If he wears his red belt with that stunning ballroom gown, he can even earn $350 with the right customer.
