It was 60s blacksploitation, there were a bunch of them.
"Although the name Django is referenced in over 30 "sequels" from the time of the film's release until the early 1970s in an effort to capitalize on the success of the original, most of these films were unofficial, featuring neither Corbucci nor Nero. Nero reprised his role as Django in 1987's Django Strikes Again, the only official sequel produced with Corbucci's involvement."

The only actual Django remake with Corbucci involved wasn't good.
Nero did have a cameo in Tarantino's film.

I mainly like the 1966 version for the over the top brutal violence and the contents of the coffin, pretty wild.

In high school back in the ‘70s one of my running buddies was from a well-off family. They had their house they lived in, then down the hill they had what they called “the pool house”, which had a double meaning in that it was the structure nearest the swimming pool, but also the front room of the lower floor contained a regulation size pool table. We shot countless hours of pool in there and the soundtrack to it all was side one of an album called “Music for the Man With No Name”. It was a collection of the music from the Leone spaghetti westerns composed by Morricone and performed by the Hugo Montenegro Orchestra. Back then you could stack albums on a tall spindle and there was a guide arm that held them in place. However, if you put a single album on and left that arm swung out in the loading position it would just play that side of the album on repeat until you turned it off. Good times.

What a cool memory.

It makes me want to build useful but curious structures for future generations.
Then to leave in-wall plaques "for future memories".

Its been a while but I liked it.
One of my favorite movies of all time. Bourbon break!
I watched the start of it once but fell asleep due to substances(edible), and only woke up for the end and was very confused. My lady said it was good.

Watched full movie Friday night and it was a trip, really enjoyed it. Soundtrack was great, villain was epic, I laughed very hard. I rate it highly, enjoyed the supernatural aspect of it that pops up out of nowhere.

I remember renting this and Frailty out of the blue in Hastings almost 20 years ago. I just liked the covers. I was high as hell and didn't bother reading the synopsis. I went in blind. I've been chasing that high ever since. The twists in these two movies hit hard not knowing anything about them. The score is excellent as well.

Other good Guy Pierce westernish movies:
The Proposition
The Rover

Frailty and Ravenous is a helluva double header.

The Proposition
The Rover
I like those movies, they definitely have their own unique vibe to them that most movies do not.
