Saw them in ‘86. They opened for Loverboy.
Dokken was way underrated, they got lost in the shuffle of the hair bands of the 80's, I have tooth and nail in my rotation

Why didn't I think of this before? I just did an image search on Google Images and Paul Gilbert and Racer X came up in the search results!

check out how I found out. Tonight, YouTube suggested an entire episode of Headbanger’s Ball with the Bullet Boys as hosts. ‘Walk Away’ was the second video played.
Wait, do you mean Racer X from the OG? I knew he was into guitars but if it's him my mind is blown.
Racer X was the band that Paul Gilbert played guitar in. I'm not aware if the OG Racer X guy was actually a band member, to be honest.
