I wonder how much healthier SSI would be if this wasn't going on for what is likely since the beginning. This country owes a lot of debt on money that was pissed away year after year.

Holy fuck man. Sorry to hear this. It is bullshit like this. We have put up with for too long. The ones who actually need assistance. Have to complete the labors of Hercules. To maybe get help. The last thing this country needs to do is give out more money. Let those savings fund other shit so we can get rid of the federal income tax or pay down our debt or something that's actually going to be beneficial in the long run.
