What an idiot
Furnace was short-cycling yesterday afternoon. I figured it was the flame sensor so I took it out and cleaned it up a bit. Wasn't too dirty.
Put it back in and it worked for a little bit and then started short-cycling again. Motherfucker.
Flame sensor is about the extent of my furnace knowledge so I figured I'd have to call in a service on Monday. No biggie.
We have a gas fireplace that puts off a decent amount of heat so I told the wife to turn that on if she got cold. She did - and it ran for about 3 minutes and then the flame went out.
Well, shit. Headed outside to check the propane level - bone fucking dry.
When I woke up this morning it was 48 degrees in the house.
That tanker better get here soon or I'm going to burn the kitchen table for heat.

Hope so. They were supposed to do it yesterday but nobody showed.
I called again this morning.
We are set up as an auto-fill, so they calculate when you should be getting low. For the first couple of years I would monitor the gas level, but they were always right on it. Right around the 25% level they'd show up so I quit checking. I guess I'll go back to monitoring it again because this sucks. Luckily it's not too cold out today (43 and sunny).
Home temp up to 53.

I'd tell y'all how cold it is in the house but the power went out about an hour ago.
Good thing I'm an avid camper/hiker. Got all the cold gear out of the basement and we're all set up.
Indoor camping is actually kind of fun. I wish you were doing it when it was warmer, though. I hope your powers comes back on soon and that your tanks are filled first thing tomorrow.

I saw a deer in the side yard around 6 pm last night. His days may be numbered.
Power came back on. House was 45 this morning. Just talked to the gas co - I asked them if someone needed to die before they considered it an actual emergency that they would come out for with a tanker. They got a good laugh out of that one and promised they'd be out today.

I've been staying in a place with good old fashioned cable. It's been almost 20 years, lol.
Anyway, Friends is on like 10 times a day. Its pretty sad seeing Chandler all skinny and strung out then fat and depressed. Dude didn't handle fame well, you can tell he's a fucking mess.

i stayed in a hotel during a trip over the summer. it had cable and i havent really had cable in my house since the late 90s. i turned that shit on and flipped around a bit. i was like oh this is all garbage. how do people watch this shit? it was commercials non stop and absolute goyslop content. i think i ended up watching the first 48 for like 3 days straight
