I wonder if that's in the famous Thirty Mile Zone? (That's what the initials TMZ stand for by the way).

There's a long standing rule that states that any filming more than 30 miles from downtown LA requires extra travel and inconvenience payments to be made to the cast and crew of a movie. That's why you will see the same areas used for filming thousands of movies, especially the lower budget Hollywood productions.
