Yesterday was out anniversary and had reservations at this old school Phoenix mob steakhouse called Durant's. On Wednesday the news reported it was bought and will be closed for renovations. Fuck what are we to do. It was bought by Steak 44 the finest steakhouse in Phoenix. It's a super luxury place where the rich and famous roll.

I called Steak 44 with what to do and they blew me off. So I sent and email about how disappointed I was about this experience on our anniversary. Within 20 minutes they called bam reservations 7pm on a Friday.

We rolled up they valet cars and right in front fucking rows of lambos, Ferraris, rolls royces, and fucking super cars I have no idea what they are. Bam here's my 2008 Honda Civic and I know the mileage.

Man the level of service was something I've never experienced and the food was beyond next level prime steaks, shrimp cocktail the size of your hand, sides to die for, cocktails with top shelf booze, desert like wow. The most amazing experience ever.

At the end looked at a $450 bill the manager came over and asked how everything was and we said amazing and he said we are glad you had a great anniversary and fucking said this was on us and compted the bill. We were dumbstruck!

FYI I had a 12 oz prime filet medium, creme Brule creamed corn, bourin hipped mashed potatoes, prime steakhouse meatballs, shrimp cocktail and those beignet they gave us champagne and these chocolate chip cookies. I had an El Tesoro old fashioned and rye old fashioned and they had the delicious parmesan rolls!

My wife was like crazy how all these old men are with 20 year Olds and I'm like you get rich enough and drive a Lamborghini you upgrade to a younger model!

They made the sides a la no touché. Now that's class. It's unfortunate you had to ruin it by slopping it all over your steak.

The level of service was next level there was a card at the table congratulating use on our anniversary and spending it with them. Waiter came over shook our hands and asked our names. Greeted us throughout the night. Gave us a tour of the menu. Every minute detail was given. Even though we got compted we still gave him a hundred dollar tip. I've never given a tip that much before. I bet these guys make thousands a night.

I made a sure the sides didn't touch senorita. The put truffle butter on It that melted and wow so good! I will now require ever steak I eat to require truffle butter!

Then booths and tables are their own contained unit with a floor to ceiling wall the only opening was the door so you can't hear anyone else's conversation. I image they do it for business people and if the Suns is holding a dinner meeting on trading Devin Booker!

Glad you two had a great night out. And they better have not left a smudge on the finish of the Civic. You know how valets can be.
