Jag themselves have said they're going after urban, "design-minded" audience who is "cash-rich & time poor". This is new whereas before, they tended to go after affluent, dignified, classy prospects of status.
They've also said their new style is "exuberant modernism", where classic Jag has always had at least some roots in classic styling, relying on shapely design, distinctive exhaust sounds (be it the Mk2, XKE, F-Type, etc), understated colors, etc. (Imagine a Jag lineup that goes completely away from British racing green.)
They were already positioned as a luxury brand, but they're doubling the price...which as pointed out above, they've said they don't care if it prices their current & long-time fanbase out of the market. They plainly don't want their old customers.
They're going all EV with no gas-power engines, when a huge part of Jag's history has been their powerplants - especially the inline 6, the aforementioned distinctive exhaust notes you didn't get from any other brand, etc.
Their new slogan is "copy nothing", which means they want to reinvent everything, to the point that when they started this whole rebrand, they literally deleted their entire social media history on every platform so they could start new as if they had no past history.
There's more than that, but yeah...aside from the logo, "everything else is the same".
lol ok
