I know he’s permanently broken and there’s no fixing him, but I still have a soft spot for Mac Jones because I still contend that the Patriots organization did him dirty after his rookie year
A few years ago the Niners were trying to decide between Trey Lance and and Mac Jones, and now they’ve had both.
Earlier in the week, there was apparently mutual interest between Kupp and the Patriots, but this morning I read that the Patriots are out and plan to address the position with either the draft or by trade. “Mutual interest” reports are always bullshit anyway

Lack of versatility is kind of why the Patriots traded him. And he’s not really good enough to be a effective pass rusher by himself. He needs somebody else on the other side like when he had Judon. He’s basically a situational pass rusher that doesn’t do anything else very well.
before they traded him, the patriots started playing him less and less themselves as well because it was apparent that therewere far too many situations where he was a liability on the field and not an asset. Third and long? Put him in. Otherwise there’s not much use for him.
They havent made any blockbuster moves at all, but that's not surprising. Jones seems to have packed it in.
This would be a good addition if he can find his former glory. I wonder if he's washed at this point though.
He only had one truly outstanding season. Other than that he's been very good when healthy, but 2021 was the only season where he started all the games.
I'm not sure whether him being released was due to the Rams thinking he's lost his spark, or him over valuing himself based on that one amazing year.
I guess we'll find out.
