I understand your point and I do think he could have worded it better, considering the media storm around it. He expected to get a reaction by writing about such a charged topic.

Why in all things holy did the SCHOOL paper publish this??? There are staff editors who should have seen this submission and burned that mawfucker. Anything slightly racial or religious was never published in my school paper (in Canada mind you) but whoever is in charge of that paper should be checking themselves.
