Arianny Celeste sues 3 NY strip clubs

UFC Octagon Girl Arianny Celeste and 24 other professional models filed a lawsuit today in the Southern District of New York against Diamond Club Gentlemen's Cabaret, Lace Gentlemen's Club, and Stiletto's for false endorsement, deceptive trade practices, defamation, negligence, and unjust enrichment.

According to the complaint, the models brought the action against Defendants for "theft, alteration, and unauthorized publication of sexually suggestive images of Plaintiffs, each of whom are world renowned professional models, in order to promote their strip clubs..."

Celeste and the other models further allege that their images were misappropriated, intentionally altered, and used "in order to make it appear that they worked at or endorsed Show Palace and/or Sin City. In the case of each and every Plaintiff, such appearance was false." The Complaint goes on to allege that "the implication of Defendants' use of Plaintiffs' Images is that they are each strippers."

Somebody is trying to profit off her without her consent, is she not entitled to some of the action after a decade+ of working to get where she is? I mean if in ten years from TMMAC logo is plastered all over the major MMA orgs and some shady strip club owner used the TMMAC logo in an effort to gather more patrons which they would then profit from would you not feel cheated or taken advantage of?

I've never given Arianny enough thought to like her or not, but it seems fair from a business/legal standpoint that if the clubs are using her likeness to promote their events with no agreement in place with her, they probably have to stop or pay her a fee. But pay her damages based on smearing her reputation as a "world-renowned model" with "sexually suggestive images?" Am I reading that right? No, come on. I don't see her job as shameful, she's a grown woman, but she can't exactly clutch her pearls (or her crotch-glued rhinestones) over her lost modesty now.
