in the footage I watched it looks like he hits the bridge and bounces 3-4 times then tumbles over the edge ....He hit it so fast he disintegrated.
I was under the impression they found him in pieces.in the footage I watched it looks like he hits the bridge and bounces 3-4 times then tumbles over the edge ....
..... but he pulled his chute it seems
yeah I need to delve further into this incident, but seeing that impact in shitty quality was still pretty savageI was under the impression they found him in pieces.
A wingsuit diver died in the Swiss Alps earlier this week - so why doOne internet clip shows Jeb Corliss flying below the 1,053ft Royal Gorge Bridge in Cañon City, Colorado, just as his best friend, Dwain Weston, was attempting a synchronised flight above it. Weston hit the bridge, smashing his body into pieces. Corliss landed soaked in his friend’s blood, having been obliged to take evasive action because of what he described as “stuff” in the air.
is that Unbeliever?my name?
hehe it's taken from the word Jahannum, which "is one of the names for the Islamic concept of Hell."
and the word Jehannum was the name of a character in one of my favourite fantasy novels.
yup but haven't actually read the final trilogy, which was written (or at least released) after I'd stopped reading books so muchis that Unbeliever?
I've got the Illearth war too but I've not started it yet..I was gifted a diskworld book round the time I bought that and was deeeep into it. I'll look for it again.yup but haven't actually read the final trilogy, which was written (or at least released) after I'd stopped reading books so much
I know I've got the first 2 trilogies, with Illearth war being 1 of those 6 books I believe, but there's another trilogy now too.I've got the Illearth war too but I've not started it yet..I was gifted a diskworld book round the time I bought that and was deeeep into it. I'll look for it again.
Oh really???Heh common motif in fantasy..Hitchhiker's guide, Foundation, all of 'emI know I've got the first 2 trilogies, with Illearth war being 1 of those 6 books I believe, but there's another trilogy now too.
probably my top fantasy series (after LOTR ofc)
Yh I definitely tried reading LOTR too soon too..now I'm not sure if it's worth it now because I've seen the films. What a predicament..@Ghost Bro LOTR is hard to read cause of the older style of English it's written in, added to the fact that it's depressing throughout.
I read it when I was 12 I think, whereas I was probably 18-20 when I first read The Chomas Covenant stuff.
and yeah I'd definitely say read em in order, The timeline is one of the most memorable aspects of the books for me, and there
is a "beginning" to each trilogy which is important. An intro
Raymond E Feist has created an amazing universe too with his Riftwar stuff set in Midkemia, and he's written more stuff for it that I haven't picked up. (yet, hopefully) I'd recommend finding a list though that explains what order to read them in, or at least what order they were released in, if you do decide to give em a go.
