You're correct. I misused the term midwest. I took for granted that while the midland states are comprised of midwest states, not all midwest states are midland. I was wrong.

As for the midwest accent being far from neutral, well, as usual you're making things up and passing them off as facts.

I have never had any problem admitting when I am wrong.

I speak like someone with a Midlands/Western accent, not like someone with a Midwestern accent.

My accent is found in various places throughout the United States.

Midlands and western are different, and the midlands states are made up of midwestern states. Which is why your survery said you're probably from Illinois, Ohio, etc.

Of course it's found throughout the United States. People move around, it's found throughout North America at this point. Doesn't change the origin. Seriously man, just eat your crow and move on.
