And I you, you Canadian bastard. You're a rational person who can see that we can't just start screaming "NO MORE REMATCHES!!!" just because there might have been one or two rematches we didn't agree with.
Sometimes a rematch is 100% warranted and the fight that makes the most sense. Weidman-Rockhold 2 is one of these times.
I don't think anyone deserves a rematch after getting mounted and smashed, especially after all the "Just watch, just watch, I'm gonna make him eat all his words, and I want the whole world to remember what he said".
If he had been dominant for several years that's one thing.
But he beat old fighters, although you can't discount them.
I feel Silva was cocky, then had his leg snapped.
Machida likely would've finished Chris had he turned it on a round before.
It was Vitor's first fight off a lufetime of PED's and he looked like a shell of himself.
And worse than all of that, Luke looked TERRIBLE, and still beat Chris.
Although Chris' accomplishments are excellent on paper, he's still been visually underwhelming in my eyes.
And as infrequently as these guys fight, I'd like to see a fresh defense, as well as others getting a shot.
And I wanna see how Chris comes back.

I would put money on Weidman again. He's fully capable of beating Cockhold.

You don't think Jacaré should have to fight Romero again before he gets a shot?
Although I like his current match-up against Vitor. If he wins, feed him to 2-time champ Weidman.
Romero has issues with USADA to work out. He has disqualified himself from competition.
