Did anyone else have a problem with the late strikes from Nunes?

First, when Shayna went down she started throwing illegal strikes to her spine. Then the ref stepped in and she threw 2-3 additional strikes. I thought it was classless.

I guess it's fine though...as long as she apologized immediately after the fight.

The only difference to other more blatant and worse examples, is that in this case, the ref came from behind. It is possible to be caught up in the moment and not really register why something is pulling you backwards. Saying that I'd have to watch it again sober to really judge it.

Yeah it looks like she gets bumped from behind and once she notices the ref she stops. I'd blame the ref for not grabbing her in a bear hug more than her.

I don't have a problem with late strikes but I do with strikes to that part of the back.

Not pissed at all. She took that shin to the side of the knee and is hurt. She shot me a message about an hour after. Made me sad. Love shayna regardless of the outcome. Just sucks that all those fucktards know is her time on tuf and now her losses in the ufc.

Ok, maybe I got a little too worked up about it. I do think the fault lies partly on the ref for not being more assertive during the stoppage.

No problem here. Shayna should've tapped. Same thing happened to Severn vs Rizzo and Severn verbally submitted, prompting Rizzo to back off, which he did.
This is what happens when your too proud to tap or submit.

When the ref actually got a hold of her, she stopped. He was just too slow and tentative.

Have no problem with that stoppage, ref should of been more forceful as mentioned above,
