Well I think it make a big difference if you're living n the country of the language that you are learning. I bet it would have been different if you lived in Spain while you were studying Spanish.

It's bitter sweet. I'm a little bummed that it's become too much about money and fame but Im happy that it has finally become a main stream sport.
You opened the door for one of the BEST comments/quotes ever made when you asked Enson how he felt about mma of yesteryear vs mma today. I can't remember his quote verbatim, but it was along the lines of back then when a fighter got in trouble, he had to rely on his warrior spirit where as nowadays, right when a fighters warrior spirit is about to kick in, the fight is stopped.
That shit was SO deep. Great question by you EB and great answer from Enson. It stuck with me as it was very deep, yet had some sad truths to it.
D, have you checked out the 2 Enson podcasts with Rogan? Absolutely awesome shit. Some of the best MMA interviews ever. He goes deep into that philosophy, notably talking abtu the Yamato Damashii way during the Igor fight. I could listen to Enson talk and wax poetic on martial arts and life ALL DAY... Plus his book is even better than the interviews. So many stories and according to this thread he's writing anther
