Agreed. Conor's a self promoting mofo, but there is nothing to tie him to PED use.

Honestly I like him. He's very exciting to watch, has a certain charm that draws people in and I feel is a genuine threat to the FW division and possibly LW too. Having said that I don't like the teachers pet shit or how his opportunities from the UFC are decided on money instead of merit. I'll just always prefer the budo types, silent killers who earn it all and are respectful to those who deserve it. Guys like Crocop, Fedor, Hunt, JDS, Enson...there's a good thread right now on this.Tell me how you really feel about Conor
Some of your complaints are more of hating the game, not the player. For example jumping the line/teachers pet, you can't fault Conor for taking a path that is beneficial to him over one that is more difficult. I too had a problem with higher ups getting special treatment b/c they new each other outside of work beforehand....but then I went to a company where my longtime friends ran shit so I totally was on the other side and saw the benefits for me.
Just to be clear there's no hate here directed at Conor. I started by saying I like him and added compliments. The pretend compliments I wrote above were in a joking manner but I don't think any were too far off from fact IMO. Somebody above that wrote that Conor looked to be thinking of something to say but got cut off short and I think they're right, he's not one to say nothing on any topic.
If you've had an experience were you've been fast tracked to the front based on knowing the right people instead of credentials then I don't know what to say. I doubt you took it upon yourself to remind others around you that it went down that way or at least hope you didn't.
Again I'm a fan of him but in many interviews he gone on about putting time in the gym, making weight, sacrifice, being on welfare and so on so you'd think he'd be the first to recognize and respect a guy who came up in the Favelas and is now champ, a part of me thinks he does and he's just doing his thing to put on a show which he is very good at.
If he beats Aldo I'll give him full credit of course as everyone should. I just get annoyed how so many business models for high profile people are to take the low road and encourage controversy as long as it generates money but I guess we need those types too right?. Like my other post says I just like guys like Fedor and Crocop more, Conors great but he got nothing on those two.
On the most recent embedded episode Aldo makes a "cute" joke about a strawberry not being able to pass a doping test.
