One thing that's lost on mr. president in all of this is the fact that CM fought and lost to the #5 lightweight on the UFC roster. Why is it expected that the champion of a lighter weight class NOT fight any contenders in the higher division BEFORE they challenge for the title?

first of all, i DO agree that CM lost to a LW and not a welter (before i get stoned to death for what I'm about to say)
But I'm a CM guy and i think he does have a good chance beating RDA, not an easy fight as he claims but if he plays it smart he has the weapons to win.
I think CM lost this fight against diaz because he got to excited by seing diaz hurt in the first (he shoul have known a hurt diaz isnt a dead diaz, its like their fuel ) and gas himself out.

GSP doing the same thing would be cutting to 155, winning the title, then fighting Nick Diaz at 185, who has 10 days to prepare, and getting stopped in the 2nd round.

I fully respect what Conor has done and what he tried to do. I think this obvious bollocks that everyone sees through just detracts from Conor's legitamite achievements.
