Nate Diaz doesn't sound happy for a guy who allegedly made millions of dollars choking out Conor McGregor at UFC 196.

The upset win certainly helped Diaz's Q-rating, but he's not exactly basking in the glow of a higher profile.

"I feel like, honest, I feel like the UFC wants to weed me the f**k out of this position," Diaz told ESPN.com's Brett Okamoto. "I don't know if I'm supposed to say that. Sorry. I feel like a lot of people are coming at me now. I see them making a lot of excuses for [McGregor], and I think it's kind of ridiculous.

"I don't think it's just the UFC. It's everybody. People are saying, 'Oh, [McGregor] is great, he's accepted the loss so well.' If I would have lost, people would be saying, 'piece of s**t shouldn't have accepted the fight.' I don't mean to be bitter, but there are a lot of excuses being made for this guy. He's talking about winning the first round. There are five rounds in a fight. Who gives a s**t if you won a round? You lost."

I'd love to see Nate fight any of the top lightweight contenders or even for the 155 title.

After listening to a bunch of podcasts and reading online it feels like the bigger story was how good Conor took the loss over how bad Nate beat him up paird with his big tasty balls everyone's sampling. Diaz isn't wrong here.

Not too many times have it been simply stated that Diaz is the better fighter, its about inefficiency poor game plan.

The Diaz brothers are like my sister in law, always looking for a reason to be offended. He needs to just ignore the people online if he doesn't agree with them. I'm not a huge fan of the Diaz brothers but I'll always tune in to watch them because they come to fight almost every time.

They did the same thing for Ronda when Holly broke her jaw. "She just had a bad gameplan". Notice that Rousey got invited to Ellen's show to cry about her loss but they didn't invite Holly to celebrate her win. Shameful.

Milking the cash cows for all they're worth since 2001.

Love how the Diaz brothers arent afraid to speak their minds, regardless whether it's right, wrong, or potentially unpopular. Nate's right here too.

So to recap-

Ronda just had a bad gameplan,
PVZ is such a warrior, Sage got off his death bed to take that fight and Conor was fighting a Welterweight monster.

From the original ESPN article: "I made a good amount of money," Diaz said. "I think they're over exaggerating how much -- I don't feel like anybody did me any favors, I'll tell you that much -- but I made a good chunk of change and I'm grateful. I've been demanding that."

This.
Mind of a true fighter.

judging is retarded in America. Even Fighters accustomed to this way of thinking. Ur not trying to win a round, ur trying to win the fight. It's a fight! This is what the Diaz bros were always talking about. MMA has def become a sport, shouldn't even call it a fight.

He should fight RDA yes. Why isn't he going for it? This is a good oppertunity to demand a title shot, the iron is hot. Not bitch about some internet fans. He won the fight, got paid well, why still be bitching, go get that belt. Diaz brothers always self sabotaging, that is discouraging.

I haven't seen a whole lot of wild excuses made for Conor. The energy thing is just a fact, it's not an excuse, and it doesn't make Conor look any better to say it. It's not simply enough to be physically in shape and have skills, you need to employ those skills efficiently as possible and Conor didn't do that.

It goes the other way, too: people are so quick to jump on Conor they don't acknowledge how ballsy it was to jump up two divisions. Now was Diaz a full-fledged WW? Of course not, but he has fought at WW and given a good account of himself at that weight. Conor took the fight and was humble in defeat. I respect that a lot more than I'll ever respect certain guys who turn down and drop out of fights left right and center.

Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe Nate's only fought at WW 4 times, going 2-2. The 2 losses being decision losses to Stun Gun and Rory. Undersized at WW for sure. So to say he went up two weight classes is misleading- he fought a LW and they mutually agreed not to cut weight.

And it's easy to be humble in defeat when you got finished (what more is there to say?). We'll see how he handles a close decision or if he carries himself any different in the following weeks (my guess would be no).
