With the exception of the Silva fight, Vitor has traditionally gotten worse as the fight progresses. if things don't go his way he fades and folds. ie - Saku, Couture, Jones.

Interestingly enough, Weidman isn't great in the late rounds either as shown by his recent fight with Machida. Machida has some power but not the power Vitor does. Machida tagged Weidman enough in the late rounds when Machida started to come on strong.

So if Vitor can overwhelm Weidman early and set his game plan up I see him taking the belt. If Weidman weathers the storm and decides to take Vitor down and grapplehump Vitor, then Weidman will break Vitor like Couture did.

In this fight it's whoever brings the right game plan. I have to give it to Weidman because I see him frustrating Vitor and Vitor falling apart as a result. But Vitor will hurt Weidman like no other fighter has before.

this is exactly how I feel. I think Vitor poses some real big problems for Weidman, but I see Chris utilizing his wrestling a lot to get the decision victory. I really dont see him standing and trading with Vitor. thats a horrid idea if he wants to keep the belt.

I think Vitor would have had a solid chance back when he was getting away with maintaining superhuman testosterone levels and only fighting in Brazil.

It may be a bit simplistic (or even unfair to Vitor), but I have a hard time imagining Vitor winning many more big fights at all. Skill/experience/etc. aside, a man whose body barely produces any testosterone should not be able to continue competing with elite athletes, especially in a head on fight (much less against the best his division has to offer).

Basically I think that either Vitor's career is basically fucked, OR he's found something new that he'll get in trouble for again in a couple of years when the commissions finally start catching on to the latest gear/medical loopholes again.

I don't want this to sound like some scathing criticism of Vitor either. I'm not one to get all up in arms about PEDs. I'm a Wandy fan for one thing lol. But the only thing I could think if a 40 year old with less testosterone than my sister beat up Chris Weidman would be "what did he take to make that happen?"

I just don't think Vitor's chances even exist at this point without either gear or a fucking miracle. Although he's a big believer in both, so maybe he'll be alright, lol.
