"he can only beat who they put in front of him" - I agree and we already know he will KO low level competition with single strikes from the outside making it look like a video game.

but the one time they set him up with a wrestler it was one of the worst fights I've seen lately so I'm not all that impressed with his performance.
Is that you George?

:p

As I said...Hopefully they step the competition up..I aint a massive fan...Just like his entertaining style.

Anyways...Have a great night bud.

He may not be able to beat elite wrestlers, agreed. And I'm sure we'll find out soon enough. But I'm still going to enjoy watching him fight, regardless of opponent because MMA is in desperate need of dynamic, high octane fighters...and MVP is certainly that. I'm all for finding out who's the best of the best, but I'm also into watching entertaining fights. I'm not so sure how entertaining it would be watching him get wrestlefucked for 3 rounds lol.

oh no that would be awful to see too. he should be kept away from elite wrestlers for a few years. but I would like to see him against someone that's coming off a win or who has beat a fighter that has a winning record.

This I agree with. For whatever reason, they're bringing him along really slowly. Might be because there aren't many good stylistic match ups for him, might be that not many want to fight the guy, might just be timing. No idea. I am excited to see him get a Top 10 guy though and see how he fares.

Here's the main card as it stands now-

Andrey Koreshkov vs Benson Henderson

Patricio Pitbull vs John Teixeira

MVP vs Jeremie Holloway

Brennan Ward vs Cyborg Santos

Brent Primus vs Furia Santos

Dam, this is a dam solid card. Seems like it'll be a success all across the board. Can't wait for this card.

I remember Gonzalez saying that Page ducks top competition. That every time he faces a good fighter he pulls out. He was scheduled to face Millinder, he pulled out...I think Gonzalez also said he ducked Ward....Its funny because it looks like what Gonzalez is saying is true. But on the flip-side MVP has said that people keep pulling out whenever he is scheduled to fight someone. And that is why he will end up fighting cans. I dont think Page is ducking anyone because why would he keep asking for a title shot?

that's why I can't be bothered to stay awake to the end of Bellator cards anymore.

you're losing precious sleep time just to watch Manhoef KO some fool that you can see in a gif at tmmac next morning... thanks very much I'll pass.
So then you skipped out on Manhoef vs Schilling?

Your loss...

If that fight was one of the worst you've seen lately, you're not watching enough fights

Manhoef vs Schilling was a legit patented Scott Coker striker vs. striker matchup. I'll stay awake for that one everytime;

internet = hyperbole. I don't even know which fight we're talking about I just remember seeing MVP in a slightly more difficult fight that was a complete snoozefest.

Yea but its not like that was the only choice for him either. Also Siver was alot more well known.
So you'd be fine if they let MVP cave Koschecks skull in and used that performance to give him a titie shot, simply because Kos is more well known..?

I would much rather see him fight Koschek. Even on the downside of his career kos is more entertaining fight. Insyead of letting his opponent build himself up then fighting the elite they let him get crushed so he is persona non grata from here on out.

WW might be the strongest division outside of the ufc.

Koscheck, MVP, Benson, Askren, Manhoef, Schilling, Daley, Fitch, Okami, maybe Rory

If Robbie loses belt, argument could be made winner of that tournament is right there with newly crowned UFC champ.

Manhoef and Schilling are MW. But sub in Koreshkov, Lima, and Ward and your point still stands.

Coker, stop wasting this guy, his contract will run out and then the UFC will scoop him up for a striking star run you could have had...
