I disagree. I think she has no incentive to be a better person because she is being lauded for being horrible. Appreciate her skill, not who she is as a person. Her story is still unfinished. I agree that she's been a poor example as of late, but she has plenty of momentum to make a nice comeback story.
Also, she looks fucking amazing in that picture.
Great avatar, first off.Watch when Holm pushes Rousey back to line her up for that headkick. If Rousey played to her strengths, she would have gone for double-underhooks or at least tried to smother Holm.
She didn't; she thought she could still keep taking those strikes.
Why? Because she had a shit cornerman and she let her ego dictate her fighting.
That's exactly my point; she thought she could bully a boxer. Her approach as being the bully
She doesnt, but is saying she might in 2-10 yearsFinally lol. Hope she really believes this and goes baby face haha.
Agreed. Finally lol. Hope she really believes this and goes baby face haha.
Well that's kind of my point to and, funnily enough, I guess that's why I disagree with Atlas on this. He was looking at it from the perspective of someone who understands boxing but he knows so much about boxing that it's impossible for him to look at that kind of fight without his knowledge. I don't have that "problem."That's exactly my point; she thought she could bully a boxer.
Every single setback, it's not the end of the world, it's just the beginning of that lesson," Rousey said at Reebok's Luncheon for Inspirational Women "That had to happen for me to learn these certain things and it's not about being completely infallible, it's about getting better and there's no room for improvement in perfect."
She didn't get her jaw broken.Great avatar, first off.
Second of all, I think people look too much into Ronda's tactics. I think she got her jaw broke pretty early on and that threw her. She wasn't used to that. She was on autopilot. Her approach as being the bully and relying on starting and finishing the scramble is on point though.
Out of context? How about just take what she's saying in context.Out of context it barely registers that she's even talking about her fight.
She still has a hard time saying Holly's name lol.
What's your SN there?HaHa I'm about to get banned from the UG again. They got this same thread over there and like always there's nothing but a bunch of miserable people in there fighter bashing.
I mentioned this site and said half the UG's members already left to come here and they deleted the post. fuckin haters can't stand a little competition, I suppose. The shit they let go on over there and they wonder why they're hanging on by a thread.
Admitting she was “really (expletive) sad” about losing to Holm, Rousey also revealed some information about the injuries she suffered during the head-kick knockout loss. While many speculated about a broken jaw, UFC president Dana White had already debunked those rumors. We knew that she had to have a split lip stitched up, but in the ESPN interview, Rousey also pointed to some lingering issues with her teeth, which are going to take several months to be back to normal. No??
No broke jaw but she had a nasty cut on her lip and some of her teeth were loosened up by the kick. The loose teeth are the reason she couldn't bit into an apple for 4 months. No??
I tore a ton of ligaments in my right ankle playing basketball my senior year of high school. I didn't break a single bone, but I was very badly bruised and swollen, in a cast for 6 months, and took another 4 months to learn to walk again. She may not have broken her jaw in the literal sense, but the difference between a broken jaw and whatever she had is razor thin.No broke jaw but she had a nasty cut on her lip and some of her teeth were loosened up by the kick. I've had a tooth knocked loose pulling on a tree limb that was on the ground. It snapped and hit me right in mouth. Damn near knocked me out. It took a long time for it to get where the tooth wasn't moving back and forth.I tore a ton of ligaments in my right ankle playing basketball my senior year of high school.
