Finally!!

One of the most feared fighters in the world is finally making her way to the Octagon, as Invicta FC featherweight champion Cris "Cyborg" Justino faces Leslie Smith at UFC 198 on May 14.

The bout, which takes place at Arena da Baixada in Curitiba, Brazil, will be held at a catchweight of 140 pounds.

A native of Curitiba, the 30-year-old Justino (15-1, 1 NC) is unbeaten for over 10 years, and with 13 of her 15 pro wins coming by knockout, it's not surprising that she has soared to the top of every organization she has competed in. Owner of victories over Gina Carano, Marloes Coenen (twice), and Shayna Baszler, the former Strikeforce champion has compiled a 5-0 record with five knockouts as a member of the Invicta FC roster.

Another member of Ceasar Gracie JJ to stop the hype-train!! what if Cyborg can't even get passed Smith, gets no shot at Rousey, Tate, or Holm and just end up rematching Leslie Smith, pulling out of fights, missing weight and all that clusterfuck? I'm just saying... for fighters who poppped on roids before never had a smooth thing going on after this out-comp tests. Does Invicta test like the UFC? if not, I'm going to be the hater and say something funny might go down about this whole Cyborg thing.

It's a good match up! Cyborg is from Curitiba and with Smith on Ceasar's I'm sure she'll have many fans in Brazil as well. Hopefully Cyborg doesn't have any issues in her camp

The fight is only 6 weeks out. I'm sure she is aware and ready for whatever the USADA could bring at her.

If there were a few months before her debut I'd have to agree though.

About damn time. Look at how much time was wasted by saying she "had to fight at 135 pounds or not at all". It was an absurd position by the UFC, to begin with. There were plenty of fighters willing to move up 5 pounds. Long overdue.

What a crock of shit.

Leslie Smith has successfully made 125 and fought there.

Cyborg has never gone lower than 145 and has had problems making that weight.

Hopefully, Smith is getting paid well and this is a one-off fight just for Brazil.

the petty stuff that the ufc says or does sometimes is almost unbelievable.

on the other hand I'd guess they consciously approach public relations this way. it's actually very smart. the vast majority of the people ate the excuses pro-Ronda with a spoon back then and will buy Cyborg now regardless. we hardcores will call them out on the internet giving them precious clicks... win-win.

Looks like a typical Cyborg opponent. Leslie Smith has an 8-6-1 record and has fought at 125 lbs. She lost to Kaufman twice, lost to Eye, lost to Barb Honchak (Invicta's flyweight champion). In other words, she hasn't beaten anyone worth mentioning and is going to weigh exactly 140 lbs soaking wet after a huge meal of powdered donuts and ice cream, while Cyborg will weigh 155 lbs and be ripped to shreds on fight night.

This fight doesn't interest me at all. It has freak show written all over it. Go ahead and rainbow this post but you know I'm right.
