"I win my first MMA fight, Dana White won't take my phone calls from my lawyers and manager and so I said fine. Randy Couture was fighting Gabriel Gonzaga for the heavyweight title, so I said buy a ticket and we'll go to the show. And I bought a ticket, sat in the stands, watched the whole show and at the end of the show, I jumped the guard rail, escaped a few security guards, ran up and tapped Dana White on the shoulder and introduced myself, and that's where the ball got started rolling."

Gotta love him. His run had a pretty lousy ending, but he can always say he was the UFC heavyweight champion. Won it and defended it twice, not too shabby.

The egg won the lottery. I've never seen anything from that guy that has ever made me think 'you know what, maybe he isn't as retarded as he seems'. Nothing. He may not always come across as a complete drooling moron but I have never heard him say anything insightful and surely at least something would have filtered through to the public if he was some hidden business genius.

I don't get what the mob casino guys ever saw in him, even if he was their little buddy. His bullshit tough guy persona has resonated with idiots and helped the UFC, but he only made that up after he was gifted the UFC Presidency.

And it wasn't?

3.53 million Twitter followers (which is almost Ronda and McGregor's followings combined), 905k likes on Facebook, global recognizability and can get booked on pretty much any show in North America whenever he wants to promote a card. I think the "character" has worked out pretty well for him.

I had previously had him sponsor me for a few thousand for a charity event. So he knew me and accepted my friend request. When people started flooding him though and he could only have a certain amount I was shoved off to make way for others.

I did. We do our best to keep direct insults aimed at fighters out of the forums, Dana doesn't fight so I didn't edit this. We will never please everyone with what we decide to edit but if it has Jon, Conor or Ronda in the thread title there's a good chance we will see something.

I edited 4 posts today aimed at Jon I think so it wasn't just yours.
