The UFC doesn't currently have an active women's flyweight division but UFC PresidentDana White confirmed last year it will be the next division to be added to the organization's roster.

"There’s not going to be a division for awhile, but the next division when there is one will be 125," White said at the UFC 193 Q&A event last November. "So I’ll have a 115, 125 and 135."

"I hope that we gonna have 125-pound division in the future, and I'm gonna become the first female fighter [to] hold two belts," Jedrzejczyk told Ariel Helwani on The MMA Hour. "[It'd be] probably better. I cut lots of weight. It isn't nice but it's part of my job and I can make it very easy. But of course, it could be [easier], more interesting to fight at 125 pounds."

She's not beating Shevshenko, who should be a natural 125er. At FLW she wouldn't be fighting Esparza who could make Atom weight or Penne who actually fought at Atom weight. Joana is too one dimensional to hold a belt at 125, chances are very slim and some 135ers will drop down.

Yeah, no, JJ.

If you were a big enough draw, they would let you, but you are not.

They are going to create a 125 division, put you there permanently and leave 115 for some ultra-marketable hottie, like my girl Waterson or Thug Rose.

Besides, JJ looks absolute miserable at 115 and from this interview, sounds like it too. If she got big enough to be successful at 125 there is almost NO chance she could go back down to 115 quickly enough to defend both belts. There is a large percentage difference going from 145 to 155 like Conor and going 115 to 125, especially for a woman.

I'm not even convinced she can hang on to her 115lb title. Claudio is no joke son, and arguably won their first fight.

Waterson will never be champion in any division. Guaranteed.

it's too hard for modern day MMA. BJ tried and failed, Conor didn't really fail but not looking good, Brandon Vera dreamed about it... Unless you're something like this guy, not going to happen.
