UFC releases Jared Rosholt

Jared Rosholt's UFC run has come to an end.

Rosholt, nicknamed "The Big Show," was recently released by the organization, a UFC official confirmed with MMAFighting.com following some online speculation. The decision comes after the 14-3 heavyweight fighter lost a unanimous decision to Roy Nelson in February.

Seeing a lot of people getting angry about this one because Rosholt is 6-2 in the UFC

Sucks for him, but can't blame the UFC for cutting him: he just doesn't bring excitement and he showed in the Nelson fight that he doesn't have what it takes to be a serious title contender.

So I would presume that this is the end for the mighty 'team takedown'. After Hendricks leaving a few months ago. Rosholt is the only fighter listed on their website.. Can't see them paying him a wage while he makes his way through some regional fights. Can't day I'll miss him tho.. He just doesn't do enough during any giving fight to interest me
