UFC heavyweight champion Fabricio Werdum is interested in fighting Fedor Emelianenko at a UFC event in Chechnya.

Over the past few months, UFC heavyweight champion Fabricio Werdum has made his relationship with controversial Chechen leader Ramzan Kadyrov abundantly clear. Despite Kadyrov's unsavoury past, the Brazilian champion suggested that the UFC should host an event in Chechnya and feature Werdum against Fedor Emelianenko in the main event.

"I wish that, one day in the near future, Fedor and I can fight in the first UFC in Chechenia," Werdum said on his Instagram. "I think this would be a glorious inaugural event in Chechenia, and I think the fans would love to see this competition between two legends."

Werdum has made numerous trips to Chechnya over the past year since he…

I have to wonder - or perhaps daydream with a limp-wrist and effeminate hand holding up my semen-stained chin - if Kadyrov is running some kind of Christiano Ronaldo-Badr Hari style bum chum operation but instead of hitching his hairy penis to one famous fighter wagon, he has a whole harem of fighting cabana boys that he likes to dress in silly hats and dance for him.

Where does he get all the cash from anyway, even if he is robbing his people blind? Chechnya isn't like Azerbaijan last time I checked, with oil flowing out of its dickhole. It's a recently completely war ravaged, tiny republic within the Russian Federation and it has fuck all going for it. If Chechnya can pull it off, why aren't more powerful dictators these days making more athletes come be their personal sell-outs (kudos to old man Kim for getting Rodman, but you can do better than that).

Worry about getting healthy and defending your UFC belt.

Werdum beats Fedor wherever the fight takes place.

I haven't been to Chechnya but I don't think I would be allowed to go there, at least it used to be difficult to go there without a damn good reason.........that isn't like New York or Vegas....ill watch from my couch though

Werdum wants to fight Fedor in front of his fans? Got to hand it to this guy, he doesn't have anything to prove against Fedor but I like his attitude.

Say what you will about Fedor's decision to not sign with the UFC back when Brock was champ, but judging by some of the post-USADA bodies we're seeing these days, perhaps now is the time. All that's left to sort out is that pesky Reebok deal.

Always loved Fedor. I'm just not interested in seeing Werdum face him again when he is on top and has other top UFC opponents lingering. As much as I hate to say it, I'd rather just see the rematch with Cain.

Who are these top heavyweights you speak of? Miocic is top of the UFC heavyweight food chain. A Cain rematch might be entertaining if it's at sea level, and if (a big if) his back has healed properly from his recent surgery. Werdum has already beat Hunt, Nelson, and Browne. He's 1-1 against Overeem, so that could be interesting, but there really isn't a whole lot out there unless Jon Jones moves up or Fedor signs with the UFC. I don't want to ignore Rothwell who's deserves the shot if he gets past JDS, but that's not a big fight as much as it is a mandatory title defense for Werdum. You could make a case for some of the younger guys recently signed by the UFC, but Werdum is 38 going on 39, so that's probably not something that concerns him at the moment.

You do have a good point! Jones should move up to heavyweight then. LOL
