Alvarez is currently riding a two-fight win streak, toppling "Showtime" and Gilbert Melendez, and has emerged as a top contender in the UFC since leaving his championship belt behind in Bellator. UFC 200, which will host a welterweight rematch between Conor McGregor and Nate Diaz, will take place at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada on July 9th.

Rizin brooo the UFC is kinda doing a 3 day event already..just named one fight night and the other TUF finale and then 200. IMO they should make 300 during easter week, market it as UFC 300: Passion and just have everyone fight each other.

I just think RDA can find a more exciting match up than this. Especially since we were disappointed he didn't get to fight Conor.

'Impressed' matters but only up to a point. Alvarez beat Pettis and Gil back to back and he is the only viable guy. Ferguson still needs a win over a guy near the very top, and Khabib hasn't fought since 1956.

I never understood this matchup. Alvarez hasn't impressed at all lately. I always thought they would wait for Khabib's fight this saturday before making khabib vs RDA II at UFC 200. Thought this was a no brainer

Dude came back, and fought with one eye, against Melendez.

He beat pettis in a very uneventful show, but he is near the top of the division. I won't be mad at this match up.
